A Deeper Look

As more Muslims join our cities, we’re often told that Islam is an Abrahamic religion, that we believe in the same God and prophets, that Muslims love Jesus and that we share the same values. However, I’ve learned this is not entirely the case. With that in mind, I felt it important to shed light on the topic in a clear, simplified way to explore Islam while providing easy references for Christian schools, churches, and families and even secular learners.

We compare Allah and YHWH, Jesus and Mohammad, Heaven and Paradise, The Lord’s Prayer and the Opening prayer, the Trinity and Tawhid, Isa (Islamic Jesus) and the Christian Jesus. We take a close look at the Standard Islamic Narrative and what history and archaeological evidence shows us. We examine the word MHMD and its origins. We take a look at the fallacies of the ‘Common Word’ and the Abrahamic connection. We look at the makeup of the Koran, the Hadith and Sharia.

Topics generally aren’t more than 1-2 pages (although a few are 4 pages) and are set in a clear, easy-to-read fashion. A non-intimidating, clear, simplified way to explore Islam. Lots of photographs and interesting and thought-provoking fact ‘boxes’. There are numerous references/endnotes if you wish to investigate more thoroughly, and an extensive bibliography.
